We are bringing our neighbors together to help make our community safer this summer, thanks to a $10,000 grant from the 2022 Chicago Fund for Safe and Peaceful
Communities! This will help support music program towards a more #SafePeacefulChi.
The Young Leaders Fund, with support from The Chicago Community Trust, provides small, project-oriented grants to growing nonprofits in the city of Chicago. This year, Music Box Foundation was granted $7,000 in support of our Video & Recording Technology program.
Music Box Foundation is a 501©3 organization that offers tailor made music programs to Chicago Public Schools, The Alternative School Network, Park Districts and various Community Centers throughout the Chicagoland area. Our mission is “To be a catalyst for building healthy communities and enriching lives through the power of music and the arts”.
Our annual Christmas Dinner was held on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Over 120 people were served a delicious meal donated by Food for Friends, our third successful year with this wonderful organization.
The MBF All Star Community Band and 606 Royalty performed for the guests and we had toys donated a second year by Kidd Possible Worldwide.
We would like to thank the volunteers that came to help us serve the meals. Cal and Nicole and Valeria Rodrigues and Leo Samdro Somto (who had arrived early Saturday morning from Salvador, Brazil) and as always, thanks to our MBF volunteers.
Finally, a very special “Thank You” to Food for Friends for their generous support and partnership.
