Join our year-round music program, available every Saturday. We offer lessons in brass, clarinet, guitar, piano, and percussion/drumline.
Music Lessons
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Our approach fosters a strong sense of self-esteem, encourages a belief in their capabilities, and cultivates a spirit of independence. Through meaningful peer interactions, we also create a supportive and tight-knit community that accompanies them on this musical endeavor.
Discovering the diverse ways in which music exerts its influence on student’s lives. This exploration enables students to grasp the vast scope of the musical landscape, ultimately helping them find their unique position within it.
To maintain an engaging learning process, we will develop a dynamic sound map, serving as a navigational tool to ensure continuous participation. This innovative approach will enable students to grasp essential skills in reading, notating music, and proficiently performing with these instruments.
To immerse students in diverse array of musical genres and analyze their historical roots. By granting them the opportunity to witness live performances and active involvement in school event/performances, students will become familiar with the rich traditions of marching and concert bands within HBCUs.
