Holiday Community Dinner
Many of Chicago’s citizens suffer from food insecurity. To ease the burden of securing meals during the holiday season, we partner with Food For Friends, and serve free packaged meals every Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
17th Ward South Side Memorial Day Parade
To acknowledge and honor our veterans, MBF teams up with Aldermann David Moore to bring a Memorial Day Parade to the south side neighborhood of Chicago.
79th Street Renaissance Festival
One of the longest running festivals in Auburn Gresham, showcasing some of Chicago’s local food, musical talents, performers, and other community organizations. Music Box Foundation provides a performance space for MBF students and other youth artists to perform on stage.
Summer Sounds Block Party
Summer Sounds is Music Box Foundation’s annual youth showcase that celebrates the talents and creativity of young artists from across Chicago. Designed to kick off the start of the school year, this high-energy event features performances in music, dance, spoken word, and more. It’s a joyful celebration of youth expression and a vibrant reminder of how the arts build confidence, community, and inspiration for the months ahead.
